Everybody feels this way!

"Sometimes my cheeks are too red and I get embarrassed. Sometimes I don’t like my nose, or my hair, or my body, or anything for that matter. I used to be so insecure about every piece of myself and as I’ve grown up and gotten to experience the fact that I’m not the only girl in the world who feels that way, I’ve learned that loving yourself is worth your time. There are days that its hard and there are days you may feel awful because you will never look like that person, think like that person, be like that person, but always keep in mind that person will never be you.”

"My goal has always been not to look forward to the next thing, but to relish and celebrate the successes I have at the moment. Whether it’s landing a part in a student film or having a good day in acting class, I never discredit anything.”

"The emotional themes [of 1989] are not about devastation or pining or, you know, ‘I can’t live without you’. Because I’ve learnt, after 18 months of being single, that I can live without anyone. And, of course, there are going to be songs about love. But it’s not to the level of complete and utter chaotic devastation that you saw on Red. I don’t think I could make that album twice. I don’t think I would ever want to."

Taylor Swift about 1989 for Vogue UK (November 2014)

"When you’re in the position I’m in, you have two options: you can either shut yourself off from everybody, from the world, and not live a full life. Or you welcome everybody into your life and occasionally somebody will try to take advantage. And I’d much rather be that person who lets people in.”

"I think this album is the closest to what we ever wanted make as a group. Specially the whole girl empowerment thing. It was so important to us because we felt like, we’re a girl group and we believe in feminism and all these values so much. I feel like it should come forth in our music and we feel it is important that this album did that. It is rhythmic in that it makes you want to dance but we haven’t lost Pop. It’s really important to find a happy medium between five girls that were brought up in completely different places and listen to completely different music. This is the medium."

"We’ve always been about girl power but I think with this new album, Reflection coming out in the fall we really wanted to make girl power more prominent in the lyrics. We felt like when BOSS was presented to us, the grove just makes you want to dance and it’s kind of a fun sassy way of saying ‘girls run the world’. We’re really excited about it and we kind of love how drastic of a change it was from the EP because that made people really turn their heads which was really cool.”

The Internet is a big place where a lot of people can voice their opinions, and my mother chooses to pick fights with random people from all over the world who don’t have the nicest things to say about me.
